You can also watch me in a short video I presented and made for BBC College of Production website here.
I work regularly for BBC, Channel 4 and the Royal Opera House but I’m always keen to forge new working relationships with Indies and TV companies. So if you’d like to discuss my work or future projects, please contact me using the link below.
My film and tv production experience is extensive. I worked up through the ranks at the BBC in documentary, drama and childrens and started directing and producing in specialist factual where I honed my craft. Since turning freelance in 2008, I’ve been writing and directing a variety of documentaries as well as multi-camera shoots and producing and directing myriad short films.
I’m a creative film-maker and thoughtfully use my ideas and skills to achieve the best for whichever audience my project is aimed at, whether peak-time BBC Two viewers or a corporate audience.
I’ve worked with a wide range of presenters and contributors, including dancers and musicians and always make it a priority to put them at ease so they’ll trust me to do a great job.
I enjoy delivering films by taking them from the writing treatment stage through to post-production.
I’m self-assured in the edit suite, I am also happy to edit produce other people’s material and make programmes work with insight and good script writing skills. I have degrees in English and Broadcast Journalism and I’m based in London.
On this site I hope you’ll enjoy dipping into the recent film clips I made for cinema, from my assorted documentaries, great short films from BBC Two’s The Culture Show and also from my steadily growing corporate slate. For music lovers, check out some of the fantastic songs I directed with the world’s top artists in my music page.
Here's a recent short film I made for the Royal Ballet Company for their live cinema relay across the world.
When I was thirteen, I played the Queen of Hearts in Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland' for my school play.
So you could say I have a soft spot for that character and I wanted to make a film on her.
I loved the way Royal Ballet choreographer, Christopher Wheeldon and principal dancer, Zenaida Yanowsky, brought out the humour within the tyrant.
