This film was made for the official launch of the new BBC Archive Centre at Perivale. It celebrates the fact that it's still a busy working library but now with spanking new temperature-controlled vaults, keeping the archive safe for years to come. This film also looks to the future of the BBC and that digitisation of this archive will be the way forward, making programme-maker's lives much easier.

This film was made in 2 weeks for an all-staff event and remains available to watch on the BBC’s intranet. It’s presented by John Linwood, BBC’s Chief of Technology, and looks ahead to how staff will be working at the BBC in 5 years time.

The Media Trust asked me to make this film for the charity PIP, to be played out in their Untold Stories slot on The Community Channel. The promo is also intended for introducing PIP to potential fundraisers. PIP is a London charity for adults with learning disabilities.
After meeting the students and staff, I decided that some of the students should say what they love about PIP in the form of a simple poem. I wanted it to offer warm simplicity, to draw viewers into their world. I didn’t want staff or other talking heads commenting, it needed to be their voices. Shot on the Canon 5D mkII.

Following the success of my Big Projects film, the team in charge of the new Broadcasting House W1 building asked me to make a film specifically for the quarter of all BBC staff moving there in 2012.
I suggested using Rory Cellan-Jones, the BBC’s Technology correspondent to present it. I wrote this script for him as if he was on a fact-finding mission to discover what technology his colleagues will be using in the new building.

The Magnificent Seven - when I realised that I’d be interviewing 7 BBC leaders on the 7 Big Projects underway at the BBC and they all happened to be male, I couldn’t help but wondering about doing a magnificent 7 treatment on it.
I was dissuaded on this treatment but brought a sense of humour in at the top as well as encouraged the interviewees to be candid about their challenges and uplifting about the eventual success of the projects.
